Night notes

Personal notebook assistant

From handwritten notes
to considered replies.

Night notes helps its owner collect Kindle notebook exports, research clear requests, and receive finished documents on their Kindle.

This is a private, single-user workflow. This website provides app information only. It has no mailbox connection, sign-in or access to notebook contents.

How it works

  1. The owner emails an intended notebook export from Kindle to their personal Gmail account.
  2. A local listener receives a Google Pub/Sub arrival notice, verifies the export’s source and saves the original on the owner’s Mac.
  3. A local Codex worker interprets new notes and prepares requested research or documents. Repeated pages and uncertain instructions are reviewed before action.
  4. Requested document replies are sent only to the owner’s configured Kindle address.

Access and controls

The arrival listener uses Gmail read-only access and Google Pub/Sub permissions. It cannot send or delete Gmail messages. Requested replies use the owner’s separately connected Gmail tool, with existing approval controls.

The owner can revoke Google access or stop the local listener at any time. Source archives and processing records remain under the owner’s control.
